Grade Levels: Transitional Kindergarten (TK)-6th grade

Required Days: 5

Must Be Available: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays (2:00pm - 6:00pm) & Wednesdays (1:00pm - 6:00pm)

Hours Per Day: 4 - 5

• Staff Expectations & Requirements

  • Staff must be confident and capable of independently leading a classroom of 10–20 students during after-school program hours.

  • Prior experience working in a classroom setting is required.

  • C.A.R.E. Club maintains high expectations for professionalism, leadership, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.

• Lead enrichment activities such as games, arts and crafts, fitness activities, and STEM projects.

• Supervise students during all program hours to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.

• Provide academic support and encourage positive social development.

Optional Dual Role Opportunity

• Staff may also work during the school day as an Instructional Assistant or Campus Supervisor at an NMUSD school before leading C.A.R.E. Club in the afternoon.
