Job Overview

We are seeking afterschool outdoor games and sports coaches who have a passion for working with elementary age children. Our Masters of the Field program is the fastest growing enrichment program in Strategic Kids and we're looking for individuals who want to contribute to our students and continue to bring quality to the program.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Lead high quality chess classes for the students we serve

✔ Take daily attendance for all classes

✔ Master the curriculum

✔ Attend program meetings and special events

✔ Collaborate with other instructors and administrators

Qualifications

✔ Must be 18 years or older

✔ A minimum of one year experience working with Elementary Age Children

✔ After School program experience

✔ Classroom management

✔ Reliable transportation

✔ General Knowledge of sports and field games

✔ Minimum three days of availability

✔ Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and transport equipment from school to school

✔ Must be able to stand for one hour blocks

BENEFITS

Strategic Kids team members earn paid sick and safe leave from day one, are eligible for the CalSavers state retirement savings program, and are covered by State Disability Insurance and workers' compensation. We also offer paid training and new hire orientation, mileage reimbursement for travel between school sites [where applicable], a monthly cell phone reimbursement, and a referral program.

BACKGROUND CHECK

Following a conditional offer of employment, this role requires DOJ Live Scan fingerprint clearance, as required for staff working with students (Strategic Kids covers the cost).
